Rare gases, also known as inert gases, are widely used in industry, medicine, cutting-edge science and technology, as well as daily life, in addition to being used as protective gases due to their characteristics of not easily undergoing chemical reactions.
Sinoscience Fullcryo has independently developed electronic special gas separation technology based on ultra-low temperature refrigeration machines. The device is designed as a detachable whole, and the purity of neon helium krypton xenon products can reach over 99.9995%, with an extraction rate of over 90%. The project has been successfully put into operation and is running steadily.
Krypton is a chemical element, a colorless, odorless, tasteless inert gas. It is orange-red when discharged. It contains trace amounts in the atmosphere and can be separated from liquid air by fractionation. The multiple spectral lines of krypton make the ionized krypton gas discharge tube appear white. The light bulb injected with krypton gas is a very bright white light source, often used to make fluorescent lamps. Krypton, like other inert gases, is extremely inactive in chemical properties and is not easy to react chemically with other substances. Known compounds include krypton difluoride.
Main Uses
It is widely used in the electronics industry, electric light source industry, and also in gas lasers and plasma streams. Compared with argon-filled bulbs of the same power, bulbs filled with pure krypton gas have the advantages of high luminous efficiency, small size, long life, and power saving. It is widely used in the manufacture of mining lamps. Due to its particularly high transmittance, it can be used to manufacture off-road vehicle irradiation lamps and aircraft runway indicator lights during night battles. It is used in medical and health care to measure cerebral blood flow. Its isotopes can be used as tracers. Radioactive krypton can be used to detect leaks in closed containers and continuously measure material thickness. It can also be made into atomic lamps that do not require electricity.
Neon (Ne) is a colorless, odorless, non-flammable rare gas. Usually neon can be used as a filling gas for colored neon lamps for outdoor advertising displays; in addition, it can also be used for visual luminous indicator lights, voltage regulation, and laser mixed gas components.
Main uses of products
1. Used in neon lamps and as a filling medium in the electronics industry (such as high-pressure neon lamps, counter tubes, etc.);
2. Used in laser technology, as visual luminous indicator lights, voltage regulation, and laser mixed gas components;
3. Neon-oxygen mixed gas replaces helium and oxygen for breathing;
4. Used as a low-temperature coolant, standard gas, special mixed gas, etc.;
5. Used in high-energy physics research, let neon fill the spark chamber to detect and the behavior of particles;
Danger
When the product is in high concentration, it can reduce the oxygen partial pressure in the air and cause suffocation. Manifestations include rapid breathing, lack of concentration, and ataxia; followed by fatigue, irritability, nausea, vomiting, coma, convulsions, and even death. Generally, no special protection is required during production. However, when the oxygen concentration in the workplace air is lower than 18%, an air respirator, oxygen respirator or long tube mask must be worn.
Storage and transportation
1. Transportation precautions: Non-corrosive, general materials can be used. Austenitic stainless steel can be used for liquid neon. Neon is generally stored in glass bottles or steel cylinders. During storage and transportation, it should be loaded and unloaded gently to prevent the container from being damaged. Liquid neon has a small output, and can be stored and transported in a liquid helium container similar to a small liquid nitrogen screen. When using such a container, the support of its contents must be reinforced to adapt to the larger density of liquid neon;
2. Storage precautions: The warehouse is ventilated, low temperature and dry; load and unload gently.
Xenon is a colorless, odorless, non-combustible inert compressed gas with a content of 90ppm in the air. Xenon is mainly used in flash lamps, deep anesthetics, lasers, welding, refractory metal cutting, standard gas, special mixed gas, etc. Krypton xenon mixed gas fills electron tubes and bulbs, which saves 20-25% of electricity compared to argon bulbs of the same power, and can extend the life by 2-3 times, improve the luminous efficiency, and greatly reduce the volume. Xenon has extremely high light intensity. Lamps filled with xenon include iodine lamps, arc lamps, flash lamps, cinema projection lamps, space simulation lamps, etc. Xenon is a high-pressure xenon arc discharge lamp developed in 1958. It is divided into long arc xenon lamps, short arc xenon lamps and pulsed xenon lamps. The spectrum of long arc xenon lamps filled with xenon is very close to that of sunlight, and is commonly known as “little sun”. This type of xenon lamp has a particularly strong fog-penetrating ability and is often used for lighting at stations, docks and squares. The color of the “short arc xenon lamp” is similar to the sunlight at noon, with a high color temperature (5600K) and easy to use. It is currently the ideal artificial “sun lamp” for squares, streets, movie projections and stage lighting. The “pulse xenon lamp” is a light source that emits light in a very short time, often called a “flash lamp”. It emits light by pulse discharge of xenon gas. This small xenon lamp is widely used in photography. Xenon gas is highly valued in medicine as an anesthetic. Xenon can dissolve in the oil in the cytoplasm, causing anesthesia and swelling of cells, thereby temporarily stopping the action of nerve endings. People have tried to use a mixed gas composed of 80% xenon gas and 20% oxygen as an anesthetic without side effects. In the atomic energy industry, high-purity xenon gas can be used to test the existence of high-speed particles, particles, mesons, etc.
Main uses
High-purity xenon gas is widely used in the electronics and electric light source industries. Compared with argon-filled bulbs of the same power, bulbs filled with xenon gas have the advantages of high luminescence rate, small size, long life, and power saving. Because of its particularly strong fog-penetrating ability, it is often used as a fog navigation light and is widely used in airports, stations, and docks. After the concave surface of the xenon lamp is focused, it can generate a high temperature of 2500℃, which can be used for welding or cutting refractory metals such as titanium and molybdenum. In medicine, xenon is a deep anesthetic without side effects and a contrast agent for X-ray photography.
High-purity xenon is used in excimer lasers, light bulbs, ion propulsion, aviation, medical treatment and experimental research.
Physical and chemical properties: Xenon is a chemical element with the symbol Xe and the atomic number 54. It is a colorless and odorless rare gas that is blue when discharged. There are trace amounts of xenon in the earth’s atmosphere. Except for individual compounds, xenon compounds are colorless.
